Sailing and Cruising Instructors

If you are currently a sailing instructor who’s interested in learning and working more, or want to become one, let’s talk. Instructing for Santana Sailing, more than anything else, is about answering a call to help others reach their goals and further develop your own skills. Here’s what we need from you.

• You have a strong desire to help both aspiring and experienced sailors progress and reach their goals.
• You are interested in becoming a better instructor, and are ready to learn new and different techniques.
• If you have taught or want to teach in a multi-day liveaboard environment, we have opportunities.
• You are ready to learn and use the online NauticEd curriculum.
• You have a USCG license, OUPV at minimum, or are on your way to completing and receiving your MMC.

Business Development

If you are familiar with the world of sailing and sailing instruction, and know your way around digital sales and marketing, we should talk. We have an opportunity for part-time work that results in building visibility, attracting more clients, and building our brand. Social media savvy, Mailchimp skills, and familiarity with website functionality are big pluses.

Fleet Maintenance and Management

We have an opportunity for part-time work to maintain our sail-training vessels. This person would make sure the boats are ready to go for the trip or training day, perform routine maintenance such as oil and filter changes, replace running rigging, and schedule and oversee mechanical, electrical, and gelcoat-fiberglass-varnish jobs.
